Elena Motta is known for her ability to transform everyday objects into emotionally charged stories through 3D animation. We sat down with her to discuss her creative approach and technical insights. “I think about motion like choreography,” Elena explains. “Every movement has a rhythm and purpose—it’s not just about realism, but about conveying feeling.” She uses cinematic techniques such as lens blur and strategic lighting to make animations feel immersive and alive.

When asked about tools, Elena mentions a combination of traditional animation principles and cutting-edge software. “Squash and stretch, timing, anticipation—these fundamentals are timeless. But digital tools let me experiment in ways that weren’t possible before.” Her workshop at the festival focused on blending technical skill with storytelling, encouraging attendees to see 3D animation as a language that can evoke empathy and connection, even with the simplest shapes.
